Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco/Juniper network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and resolve connectivity issues within SLA
- Implement VPN solutions and security protocols (ACLs, VLANs) for enterprise clients
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident reports in ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise and AWS/Azure infrastructure
- Conduct quarterly network audits and capacity planning for 500+ node environments
- Provide Tier 3 support during critical outages and disaster recovery scenarios
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise networking
- CCNP/JNCIP certification or equivalent demonstrable expertise
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and multicast protocols
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC/Azure VNet) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Familiarity with Wireshark, Nagios, and network monitoring tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to obtain DoD clearance if required for future projects
