Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG
- Resolve network outages and security incidents with SLA-driven response times
- Document network topology changes using Visio and network management systems
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise and AWS/Azure infrastructure
- Implement VLAN segmentation and QoS policies for traffic optimization
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent practical expertise
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS/Juniper Junos configuration
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VPN technologies
- Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions (Palo Alto/Cisco Viptela)
- Experience with network automation using Python/Ansible
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts (1 week/month)
