Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve hardware or software issues.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Document network topology, configurations, and changes to ensure clear communication and operational continuity.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and security patches.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network connectivity and hardware usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEEE).
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Certification such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNP is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites within the Charlotte metro area.
