Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement security protocols
- Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy cloud-based solutions and hybrid network architectures
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex network incidents and outages
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network equipment
- CCNA/CCNP or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN configurations
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose complex network issues
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Valid California driver's license for occasional client site visits
