Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Resolve network outages and security incidents within SLA timeframes
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability assessments and patch management
- Provide Tier-2/3 technical support to enterprise clients via ticketing systems
- Implement network automation scripts using Python or Ansible
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNP or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in VLAN configuration, VPN setup, and Cisco IOS
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills using OSI model methodology
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for emergency support
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
