Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet systems.
- Perform regular hardware maintenance and upgrades for servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance to ensure optimal uptime, security, and speed.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and user support tickets in a timely manner.
- Document network configurations, changes, and diagrams for future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of network security protocols and VPN access.
- Conduct routine network audits and cable management.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+).
- Proven experience in network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment and common OS platforms (Windows Server, Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites within Albuquerque.
