Responsibilities
- Install & Troubleshoot: Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of LANs, WANs, and wireless network environments.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform physical cabling tasks, including pulling cable, terminating Ethernet, and configuring patch panels.
- Hardware Support: Help maintain and repair computer hardware, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Monitoring: Monitor network performance logs and report potential issues to the senior technical lead.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network changes, repairs, and inventory.
- Customer Support: Provide technical assistance and support to internal employees or clients regarding network issues.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus but not mandatory.
- Background: No prior professional experience required; we value raw talent and willingness to learn.
- Technical Basics: Basic understanding of computer operating systems (Windows/Linux) and hardware components.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces (server rooms/cable closets).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- License: Valid driver's license is preferred.
