Responsibilities
- Install and Configure: Deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and access points; configure VLANs and IP addressing schemes.
- Maintenance & Support: Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and system upgrades to ensure optimal network performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts efficiently.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Manage local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) cabling, including fiber and copper termination.
- Security: Assist in implementing network security protocols and monitoring for potential threats or unauthorized access.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Certifications: Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical staff.
