Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform routine network audits, security updates, and system backups to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and perform root cause analysis to implement effective solutions.
- Manage and monitor network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for future reference.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network hardware and software usage.
- Collaborate with the IT department to upgrade network infrastructure and improve overall system performance.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network hardware and software issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders for cabling when necessary.
