Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively resolve connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document network configurations, create disaster recovery plans, and maintain accurate system documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new technologies and optimize existing infrastructure
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network-related incidents
- Conduct regular network audits and performance optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network equipment
- CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in VLAN configuration, VPN setup, and subnetting
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call support
- Valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation
