Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco/Juniper network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and PRTG tools; troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols (VPN, ACLs, firewalls) to protect infrastructure
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network solutions and AWS/Azure integration
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents and service requests
- Conduct regular network audits and optimize performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience in enterprise environments
- Cisco CCNP/Juniper JNCIP certification required (CCNA/JNCIA acceptable with experience)
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration
- Strong knowledge of network security principles (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud networking
- Ability to lift 30lbs for equipment installation and maintenance
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
