Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using advanced diagnostic tools provided by the company
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions with company-provided test equipment
- Document network configurations and maintenance procedures using provided software
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy network security protocols using company-managed tools
- Train clients on network operations using company-provided training materials
- Perform regular network audits using specialized diagnostic equipment
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools provided by the employer
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues using company-provided diagnostic kits
- Valid California driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Experience with VPN and wireless network configurations
