Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless networking equipment.
- Monitor network performance to ensure optimal uptime and security, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades, including firmware updates and patch management.
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity and access issues.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and routing technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to interact with non-technical staff and management.
- Ability to lift and move networking hardware and work in various physical environments.
