Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Configure and manage network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze data to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or security threats.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and asset inventories.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users regarding network connectivity and software issues.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to manage network upgrades and maintenance contracts.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Valid CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching (VLANs, STP).
- Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto) and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
