Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to proactively identify issues
- Implement network security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network outages
- Document network configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user issues
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network equipment
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent industry certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN technologies
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark and packet analysis tools
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotations
