Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform regular network audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Monitor network performance and traffic to ensure optimal uptime and security.
- Document network topology, configurations, and changes accurately.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users regarding network connectivity issues.
- Manage cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper termination.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to upgrade legacy systems.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Valid CCNA or Network+ certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and VLANs.
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift and carry networking equipment up to 50 lbs.
