Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using advanced tools like SolarWinds and PRTG
- Resolve network outages and implement security protocols to protect data integrity
- Collaborate with IT teams on cloud infrastructure projects using AWS and Azure
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation for team reference
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for enterprise clients across Alaska
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP protocols, VLANs, and subnetting
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network diagnostic tools
- Experience with network security best practices and VPN implementation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours including on-call rotations
