Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
- Implement security protocols to protect network integrity and data confidentiality
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades and expansions
- Provide technical support to end-users and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Conduct regular network audits and optimize performance metrics
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking equipment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, and security protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Alaska driver's license required for occasional on-site visits
