Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify/resolve connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Document network configurations and create/update technical documentation
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related user issues
- Collaborate with cloud services integration (AWS/Azure)
- Conduct regular network audits and optimize bandwidth usage
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Experience with network security best practices (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network diagnostics tools
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling
