Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and optimize bandwidth allocation
- Resolve network outages and security incidents with minimal disruption to operations
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation for team reference
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network upgrades and security patches
- Provide Tier-2 support for network-related user issues via ticketing system
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
- Train junior staff on network protocols and troubleshooting procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in network administration and infrastructure support
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto networks
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends for system maintenance
