Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Implement and optimize network security protocols (VPN, IDS/IPS, ACLs) to protect against cyber threats
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG, proactively resolving outages
- Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate Azure/AWS services with on-premise infrastructure
- Document network configurations, create SOPs, and maintain accurate topology diagrams
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network issues and mentor junior technicians
- Manage network hardware lifecycle including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network infrastructure and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Proven expertise in network security solutions (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar)
- Experience with SD-WAN implementation and cloud networking (AWS/Azure networking services)
- Proficient in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix) and scripting (Python/PowerShell)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network issues and disaster recovery scenarios
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
