Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Resolve network outages and security incidents with SLA-driven response
- Document network topology, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network optimization projects
- Implement network security protocols and access controls
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network issues
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPN, and wireless networking
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Cisco/Juniper devices
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible/Puppet)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license for occasional site visits
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
