Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect against threats and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to diagnose and resolve network-related incidents
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports in ITSM systems
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to hybridize network infrastructure
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments of network systems
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper networking equipment
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required, CCNP preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and BGP
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
- Strong troubleshooting skills using packet analysis tools (Wireshark)
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotations
