Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network outages using advanced tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Implement security protocols including VPNs, VLANs, and intrusion detection systems
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise and Azure/AWS environments
- Document network topology changes and maintain compliance with NIST standards
- Provide Tier-3 support for critical infrastructure during after-hours rotations
- Lead network optimization projects to improve bandwidth utilization and latency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise network administration
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent demonstrable expertise
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and advanced routing protocols
- Strong knowledge of Cisco ASA/Palo Alto firewalls and VPN implementations
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible) preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote settings
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with OSI model expertise
- Valid US driver's license for occasional on-site equipment maintenance
