In this role, you will be at the forefront of our technical operations, ensuring our network architecture is robust, secure, and scalable. You will work alongside senior engineers to implement best practices and resolve complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Network Deployment: Design, install, and configure local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and perform root-cause analysis to resolve network outages and connectivity issues.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Manage physical network infrastructure, including fiber and copper cabling, termination, and rack and stack server configurations.
- Security Management: Assist in implementing network security protocols and monitoring for potential threats to data integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration logs, and technical documentation.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with hardware vendors and third-party contractors for repairs and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
- Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues under pressure.
