Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using advanced diagnostic tools and resolve connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and data breaches
- Document network configurations and create detailed technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user inquiries
- Conduct regular network audits and recommend system improvements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call duties
