Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime to identify and resolve issues
- Implement security protocols to protect network integrity and prevent unauthorized access
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable network solutions for enterprise clients
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports using ITSM platforms
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user inquiries and system outages
- Conduct regular network audits and optimize performance to ensure 99.9% uptime
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Network Engineering or IT infrastructure (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper networking equipment
- CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN protocols
- Experience with network security frameworks (Firewall policies, IDS/IPS)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to resolve complex network issues under pressure
