Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure optimal uptime
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using Wireshark and diagnostic protocols
- Implement security measures including VPN configurations and access control policies
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities in ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network architecture deployments
- Provide Tier 3 support for critical network outages and incident response
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or 4+ years equivalent experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required (CCNP preferred)
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and Arista network hardware
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF protocols
- Experience with VMware ESXi and hyper-converged infrastructure
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in elevated server racks
- Valid North Carolina driver's license for occasional client site visits
