Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident investigation
- Document security events, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions in ticketing systems
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing under supervision
- Collaborate with senior analysts on security policy implementation and compliance audits
- Participate in cybersecurity awareness training and tabletop exercises
- Conduct basic log analysis to identify anomalous activity patterns
- Support incident response procedures during security breaches
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field OR equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
- Must pass background check and pre-employment screening
