The Role:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will act as the bridge between our technology and our people. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, and maintain a secure and productive IT environment for our Sacramento office.
Responsibilities
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for employees in a timely manner.
- Helpdesk Management: Provide exceptional Tier 1 and Tier 2 support via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- System Administration: Manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
- Hardware & Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Asset Management: Assist in the tracking and inventory of IT assets and equipment.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions to educate staff on new software tools and best practices for cybersecurity.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar technical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (10/11), Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying potential IT issues before they escalate.
- Availability: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for system maintenance.
