Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of software solutions for our equity options trading platform using Python, Java, or C++.
- Data Integration: Implement APIs to ingest and process real-time market data and historical trade data for analysis.
- System Optimization: Assist in identifying bottlenecks in our existing systems and optimizing code for high throughput and low latency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Quantitative Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and DevOps engineers.
- Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and execute rigorous debugging procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for codebases and system architecture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of professional software development experience (internships and capstone projects accepted).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++, or Go) and experience with SQL databases.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong interest in financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives trading concepts.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
