Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Perform physical cabling tasks including running Cat6 cables, fiber splicing, and rack and stack server equipment.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues for internal clients.
- Conduct routine hardware inspections and perform basic troubleshooting on workstations and peripherals.
- Document network changes and maintain accurate inventory records for IT assets.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure network security protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to undergo extensive on-site training and mentorship.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical dexterity required for climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in tight spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
