We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our secure environment in San Jose, CA. This is a direct-hire position designed for professionals who want to take ownership of threat detection, incident response, and risk management in a high-growth technology company.
As a key member of our Information Security team, you will bridge the gap between technical security operations and business stakeholders. You will be instrumental in fortifying our infrastructure against evolving cyber threats and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Lead and manage incident response investigations, performing forensic analysis and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations including NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, policies, and employee awareness training programs.
- Perform regular security audits and risk analysis to maintain a robust security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and directory services (Active Directory).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
