Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and resolve connectivity issues
- Assist with network security implementations and vulnerability assessments
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with senior technicians on infrastructure upgrades and projects
- Provide tier-1 support to internal users for network-related problems
- Participate in ongoing training to develop networking expertise
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework in IT preferred)
- CompTIA Network+ certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in server environments
- Valid Texas driver's license (for occasional site visits)
- Pass background check and drug screening
