Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and resolve connectivity issues
- Assist in implementing security protocols and vulnerability assessments
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure projects and upgrades
- Provide Tier 1 support to internal and external clients
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (rotational schedule)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (A+ or Network+ certification preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly with provided training
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications within 12 months
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
