The Role:
In this entry-level position, you will work closely with senior analysts to identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge security tools and protocols in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of security tools, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Respond to security alerts and incidents in accordance with established incident response protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Document security incidents, logs, and system configurations for auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure implementation of new software and hardware.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Eagerness to learn and obtain industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or Network+.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
