Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations: Analyze security alerts and events from SIEM systems to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response Support: Assist in triaging and documenting security incidents according to standard operating procedures.
- Network Analysis: Perform routine log reviews and traffic analysis to ensure network integrity and compliance.
- Compliance Management: Support internal audits and help maintain compliance with federal and industry standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Vulnerability Assessments: Assist in scanning systems and reporting potential security weaknesses to the engineering team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security policies, incident reports, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or Network+ is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certifications within 6 months is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
