Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM platform to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents using standard incident response procedures.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scans and configure firewall rules to maintain network integrity.
- Document security incidents, findings, and remediation steps in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to analyze log data and detect anomalous network behavior.
- Participate in penetration testing exercises and red team/blue team training drills.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest cybersecurity trends, malware, and attack vectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Eagerness to learn and obtain industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Security+ is a plus but not required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
