As a Junior Security Analyst, you will work alongside seasoned professionals to protect our infrastructure, analyze threats, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or career changers to break into the tech industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
- Assist in the identification, triage, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Document security incidents, findings, and resolution steps in accordance with internal protocols.
- Support the implementation of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability scans to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and mitigate risks proactively.
- Participate in training programs and mock drills to enhance incident response capabilities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity and a strong desire to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and the internet.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
- Ability to obtain relevant security certifications (CompTIA Security+, Security+) with company sponsorship.
