Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Infrastructure: Utilize SIEM tools to detect, analyze, and respond to suspicious network activity and potential intrusions in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular scans and assessments of internal systems and external interfaces to identify security weaknesses.
- Incident Response Support: Assist senior analysts in triaging security alerts and documenting incidents according to industry best practices.
- Compliance & Reporting: Support internal audits and regulatory compliance requirements related to financial data protection.
- User Training: Educate staff on security protocols, phishing awareness, and safe digital practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP Associate is a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
