Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM technologies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing exercises under supervision.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and policy changes in our ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to investigate suspicious network traffic and malware activity.
- Support compliance audits (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) by preparing relevant documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP (Associate level) are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to obtain additional security certifications upon hiring.
