Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document and triage potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability scans using Nessus and OpenVAS
- Assist with compliance audits (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Participate in tabletop security exercises
- Update security documentation and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening
Qualifications
- Associate/Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts (1 week/month)
