Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Document security incidents using ticketing systems like Jira or ServiceNow
- Assist with vulnerability scans and penetration testing support
- Participate in tabletop security incident response simulations
- Update security documentation and policy compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams on security awareness training materials
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; cybersecurity certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, CySA+, etc.)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them in practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic command-line tools
- Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
