Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and security patch management reviews.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents and malware analysis.
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and compliance findings.
- Collaborate with full-time staff to ensure robust security controls are maintained.
- Perform regular penetration testing and red teaming exercises.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently.
