Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec) and analyze threat intelligence data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for network infrastructure
- Document security incidents, investigate breaches, and recommend remediation actions
- Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS security frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop security policies and best practices
- Provide security awareness training to employees
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and defense technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and cloud security
- Experience with incident response protocols and threat hunting
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
