Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using Splunk and AlienVault SIEM platforms
- Investigate potential security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Perform vulnerability scans with Nessus and Qualys tools
- Document security incidents and remediation activities in tickets
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under supervision
- Stay updated on emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or pursuing)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems
- Experience with incident response procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
