Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and generate actionable alerts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Burp Suite
- Assist with incident response documentation and forensic analysis
- Implement firewall rules and access control policies
- Perform security audits for PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with penetration testing teams on remediation efforts
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Understanding of NIST frameworks and cybersecurity best practices
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
