Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document security incidents and escalate critical threats to senior analysts
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Assist with security audits and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA)
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
- Update security policies and procedures based on emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations center
