Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and contribute to forensic analysis reports
- Implement security controls and patches under senior guidance
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
- Support incident response procedures during security events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network security concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Understanding of common security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
