Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and support forensic investigations
- Implement basic security controls and access management protocols
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security events
- Stay current on emerging threats and security best practices
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols and operating systems
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
